Eldon’s annual distributor event once again featured sailing on scenic Lake Eernewoude off the Prinses Margriet Kanaal in the northern part of The Netherlands.

 

Eldon’s Alexander van der Weide, Olaf Schilte and Wieger Westra were joined for the day of sailing by several employees and more than twenty customers of Forehand, one of Eldon’s premier distributors for The Netherlands. The event was especially meaningful as it marked Forehand’s establishment as one of Eldon’s Official Distributors for enclosures and accessories.

 

Alexander van der Weide presented an Eldon Official Distributor plate to the attendants.

 

“Eldon’s Official Distributors don’t just sell products, they also dispense technical knowledge to end customers,” said Alex van der Weide, Eldon’s Sales and Marketing Director, The Netherlands. “In essence, they function as partners, providing us with customer feedback on how to improve product performance and increase overall satisfaction.”

 

The day began with coffee and cake and featured a presentation by Wieger Westra before progressing to the group piloting the single-masted vessel along the surface of the pristine lake.

 

Wieger Westra’s demonstration included two Eldon products developed with the customer feedback provided by Forehand — the ESR floor standing enclosure and EBG wall mounted enclosure.

 

The new ESR server rack features an increased depth of up to 1200 mm and provides 80% air circulation. It is also available with a new stabilisation plinth to keep it from tipping when the interior equipment drawers are extended.

 

The ElBox – EBG range – is Eldon’s new wall mounted patch rack. Delivered unassembled (i.e.) as a flat-pack, the EBG is easy to store and transport. The new ElBox is also easy to install. The installer just mounts the components in the rack and finishes the cabling.

 

 

Afterwards everybody went to the Prinses Margriet Kanaal and got ready for a fun sailing trip.

“We had a terrific time sailing with the fellows from Eldon,” said Rene Vrij, Sales Manager, Forehand. “Just as developing and marketing enclosures requires teamwork, so does sailing. Unless everyone works together, the boat isn’t going where you want it to go.”

 

The annual outing was capped off by a lakeside barbeque.
