Boasting a fresh, appealing design, the new ElBox patch box comes in 400mm, 500mm and 600 mm deep versions. While both the 400mm and the 500mm will be supplied as knock-down or flat-pack versions, the 600 mm deep model will be delivered pre-mounted at the factory.

 

The new ElBox features several improvements over the TEN and TED series it replaces. First, many of the new ElBoxes will be delivered as unassembled flat-packs. Flat-packing the ElBox for shipping benefits Eldon’s customers in two key ways. The flat-packed racks take less room to store in inventory. The ElBox is also easy to transport as there is no need to unpack the box until it has reached its final destination. Because of the new design, mounting can then be done in a matter of minutes.

 

Another important new feature of the ElBox is that both sides are removable. This provides installers with full access to the enclosure’s interior from the front, left and right hand sides, making component installation much easier. When the door is closed, the side panels automatically lock in position, preventing unauthorized persons from accessing the delicate equipment inside.

 

The ElBox also features break-out gland openings pre-punched in both the top and bottom of the enclosure, empowering users to select the cable entry point. A cable entry brush is included with the ElBox and each ElBox comes with enough earthing cables to earth all panels.

 

Finally, all ElBox enclosures are supplied with a glass or steel door. Because of their appealing design and ventilation openings, they are suitable for a broad range of environments such as shops, supermarkets, offices, medical facilities, etc..
