EPS-300 Light Enclosure Ready for the Norwegian market
Eldon’s Light Enclosures About to Get Approval from Regulators
Eldon’s newly developed EPS-300 light enclosure series will be receiving the stamp of approval from DNV in Høvik, Norway this December.
Based on Eldon’s proven Multi-Flex floor standing enclosure system, the new product is anticipated to appeal to both panel builders as well as installers due to its easy set up. Panel builders will be able to use the new EPS-300 as a sub-distribution panel suitable for a floor of an office complex or apartment building.
“Passing this test not only means we will be offering the Norwegian market a high-quality, easy-to-build enclosure at an attractive price point,” said Knut Arnestad, Country Manager, Eldon Norway, “but also that we are empowering panel builders by letting them chose the internal electrical components for each box they build.”
Used in cabinets measuring 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1600mm in width and 400, 500, 600 and 800mm in the depth, the new EPS-300 itself comes in 550mm and 750mm width with a depth of 260mm. These dimensions mean complete solutions can be designed and built using a standard-sized cabinets and accessories, keeping inventory down and costs low.

The testing process the EPS 300 will undergo consists of a rigourous series of measurements of heat transfer at various points of the enclosure as well as a thorough examination of opportunities for users to come near electrical components.
In accordance with EN 60439-3, DNV will be approving the EPS-300 for non-authorized personnel.
