As the world faces the growing challenges of slowing global warming and reducing the amount of greenhouses gasses in the atmosphere, more and more attention is being paid to the conservation of electric power. Eldon is doing its part with the launch of the “Blue Line” Modular Energy Management System for the ICT sector.
The new system from Eldon provides users with a single solution for structuring, switching, controlling and monitoring the power consumption of IT networks.
“The first step to lowering power usage is the development of a comprehensive understanding of how much electricity is being used and by what applications,” said Wieger Westra, Senior Product Manager. “Eldon’s new “Blue Line” Intelligent Power Distribution Units are not only capable of determining where power is being used, but can also quickly and easily send power where it’s required. They conserve power by adapting to dynamic usage situations. They also guarantee business performance by ensuring that hardware receives the necessary power.”
The central components of Eldon’s new system are the “blue line” blue display and the control module. Both power usage and output data are recorded and made available to the building management system over the available Ethernet network.
The “Blue Line” can be supplied in both single and modular versions.
